My Artwork

I have learnt to paint nice strokes and draw nice lines. I have also learnt how to draw nice big lines. I have been learnt a little trick called cutting in.

I have learnt that I am good at cutting in. Cutting in is something that Ms Tito told the whole of Class 12. I think i’m good at painting when i’m not talking to my friends.

When I was painting my chair it was to hard. It is also tricky when I was paint the outside of the garden and the tree because they were sought of thin. When I was painting my sky I got some blue on my chair but then I put grey paint on my chair.

I like my sky because it is lighter than everyone elses.

Abel Tasman

Abel tasman is a beautiful place to swim and there are dolphanse. Dolphins make you wet thats part of what makes it special. Dolphins are fun and crazy I wish I had a dolphin.

It is a beautiful place to swim because of the sand and the water. The sand and water is so warm and soft. I wish I could go swim there.

Mitre Peak

Mitre Peak is in Fjord island in the south of the north island. People enjoy everything there. People also like to row their boats there.

People go there to see the mountains and enjoy their beautiful life. They also go there to climb up mountains and run around. They also enjoy eating hamburgers.

Manaiakalani Film Festivil

Manaiakalani Film Festivel

We got to the Manaiakali Film Festivel by the bus. Maniakalani has 11 schools near Glen Innes. 2000 people went there by bus. Seniors went in the other theitar.

My faviourite Movie was The Chaise. I liked it because of Aneelis & Jonathan. They some amazing bits.

Cape Reinga

Cape Reinga is the most northern point in NZ it is a beautiful place to explore. Located at the top of Te Ika a Maui, you can see the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean clash in a tidal race. Up at the top of the North Island there is Cape Reinga and from there you can see the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean clashing together.

Wellington

Wellington is Capital City of NZ at the bottom of North Island. Sitting on the Cook Strait is the ferry the ferry is a boat that goes across cook strait 4 times a day. Cook Strait is the sea named after James Cook. James Cook is the first white man that came to Aotearoa. It was a war that he joined then he passed away.

What Teacher's do

I am going to explain to you what a teacher does all day.

A teacher gets fatter from drinking lots of coffee. Coffee is yum for teachers cause they get fatter and fatter from to much coffee. Coffee is yum for teacher's cause they get fatter and fatter from to much coffee. Teacher's get money from working really hard. Teacher's get money by helping kids. Teachers get money for having good attitude.
So you can see that the things a teacher does all day are Sleep, Eat and exercise.

Empathy

Everyday, I can be empathetic by caring about what my friends are doing and thinking about how they are feeling.

You have to have a smile on your face and someone else will smile back to you. Everybody has to be empathetic so other people can copy you and your smart brain.

Mr Burt's korero about Loomz

Mr Burt said we are not allow to have loomz rainbow rubber bands at Pt England School. The Yr 6&7 boys are the people who were so naughty that is why he banned it from people even the people who were not  flicking the rubber bands to other children or the teachers no!. These are the teachers who you are not aloud to flick them to: All of the teachers! Even when you go home you are not allowed to flick them to your family even your Mum, Dad, Nana, Grandpa and your Cousins, Uncles, Aunties, Brothers and Sisters okay you better not because you will get a growling from your parents.You are not allowed to flick it to little kids.

Potentail Energy is when you pull back the rubber band and the Energy is stored in the rubber band. Trajectory is the path the angry birds leaves like a track on the sky. Kinetic Energy is when the bird flies with its own wings. Gravity is when the pig or the bird comes falling towards the earth. Acceleration is when the angry bird gos fast like super sonic.

Science in a Van

Last Week to learn more about Isaac Newton’s 3 laws of physics we went to Science in a Van

When Emily Pulled the slippery slidy cloth off the table really flash she was a little scared on the hall stage. Lots of people thought she would crack the two mugs on the table, but I didn’t think that. While she was trying we counted down 3, 2, 1 because she was too shy to pull it off.

While Emily pushed the Rocket off the black pole Alen tryed to catch it, but it fell. Gravity pulled the rocket towards the Earth. Some of the potentail energy was stored in the rocket to fly. There was a lot of drag in the Rocket!

Taking off the Rocket was blasting in the air Gravity was pulling the Rocket down towards the Earth. Steve the Chicken was not afraid to blast in the air on the L&P drink with a seetbelt on him. When Emily pulled the cloth off the table really speady she was a little nervoiuse on the stage.

Frozen Elsa and Anna

When Anna and Elsa were little they use to build a Snowman Anna beged Elsa to make a real Snowman together and the real snowman was called Olaf. Elsa Heart Anna by almost frezzing her then elsa was crying for anna to be alive. Then anna meat a man the name was Princes horn of the Southland Island and a Hourse. This is the song:

Folding my Paper Air Plane I was getting ready to make it fly through the air and it hit my friend. My friend started to laugh and she threw it back to me. I went on the bench and threw again all over.

Flighter Jet

The Metallic Grey Jet whooshed towards the sky, doing some fancy tricks. Soaring through the air the jets dropped their bombs on the town below. Screaming through the clouds the plane turned for home.

Samoan Language

Talofa Lava it is Samoan Language Week. Today we had a special Assembly about Samoan Language Week and the special guest were Sam Lotu iga, Reverand Setefano, Mrs Setefano and Tamaki College. The beginners for the assembly was Serenity Christian we sang two National anthems Samoa and Aotearoa. The people that were performing first were the Teuila Kindagarten kids I liked it and then the mediam kids it was amazing, big kids from Tamaki College I loved it. We were talking about Taofi Mau i Au Measina means Hold fast to your treasures. Faao was doing a prayer.

Catching the bungy cord, the truck pulled the Coyote backwards. As he bungy jumped down from the bridge the Coyote couldn’t catch The Road Runner.

Hot Air Balloon

Hot Air rises because hot air is lighter than cold air. A Hot Air falls because you have to pull the cord and cold air rushes in and hot air releases so the Air Balloon falls slowly.

If you didn’t realize, Dense can be heavy or either lighter so if you fill the Hot Air Balloon with fiery air, it will rise and if you fill the Hot Air Balloon with cold air it will drop.

Potential Energy

Purpose:We were trying to make the rocket fly up in the air.

Materials:Rubberband,Rocket,Handle

Method:We tried to make the,rocket fly up and the gravity pulled the rocket down.

Observations:When the rocket,came down I was thinking it would fall down fast.

Conclusion:From this experiment we are doing,we know that portenteil energy turns into kinetic energy.

Swimming Lessons

We have been learning all about independent and dependent clauses in complex sentences.

This complex sentence that I have written uses a dependent and independent clause. A dependent clause, needs extra detail so that it can complete the sentence, whereas an independent sentence could actually make a sentence on its own.

Here is my sentence:

I have highlighted the dependent clause yellow and the independent clause red.

Howling all over New Zealand white capped waves came out of the water at the beach. Cyclone Lusi she is so strong and powerful. There were grey clouds that were loud and whistling winds all over the town. It was really wild weather.My next learning step in writing is using great vocabulary and a great story.

Trains

Hats

I want to explain why we have hats.

A hat is something we where on our head. We use it to keep cool.

Why is it important that we wear hats when outdoors?

There are several reasons for this.

The main reason is To protect the sun from getting sunburn To keep us dry when it rains and to keep the sun out of our eyes

Another reason is To keep us cool

A further reason is To protect us from getting sunburnt

So now you can see why

Temperature Question

This morning the temperature was 12 degrees celsius. by 12pm it had increased by 7 degrees so it is now 19 degrees celsius. by 6pm the temperture then dropped down by 5 degrees to be 14 Now at 8pm,it has dropped 3 more degrees,so the new temperture is 11 degrees celsiuis. 12 + 7 - 5 - 3 = 11
